Invest in your personal brand

Layoffs suck! Meta, Twitter and other big tech giants have laid off thousands of employees recently which is very alarming. What I have concluded from all this that's happening is that do not depend on any brand, instead, build your brand from where you can never be laid off.

Being your own boss is not something imaginary now especially when you are living in the era of technology. Everyone talks about how the internet has changed people's lives. When the negative usage of the Internet is under debate one can never forget the fact that today internet is not limited to getting information about things but it has expanded to the level that people are making thousands of dollars every day from the comfort of their homes. I know many people who left their 9 to 5 jobs and started working from home as a freelancer and earning much more than before.

The key is to build a personal brand and then multiple income streams get open for you. The risk of leaving 9 to 5 jobs can only be taken after establishing a brand and getting confident completely.

But what if you don't have a personal brand currently? Can you still achieve that level? Why not? Start from today. All these millionaire freelancers started from zero so can you, but if you are new to personal branding don't stress too much over the result of 'building a brand'. What you need now is CONSISTENCY and then you will become a brand over time (not overnight)

When starting on this journey towards building a personal brand you need to focus on a few things only.

  • Picking topics to publish content about
  • Publish one post daily at least on 1 platform
  • Engage with 15-20 people a day

I'll not go into the detail of each mentioned above as they are self-defining, and I don't want you to have extra information at this stage. Right now you have to give yourself a little push and just START.

Focus on these top 3 points, be consistent, show up every day and just start writing.

Concentrate on the daily actions rather than the long-term results as stressing on the latter might demotivate you sometimes.

So, without thinking much just pick a topic, make a post and press PUBLISH. You don't have to be perfect but you have to be consistent and hard-working to achieve this goal that you will never regret.

See you in the next blog post!

Much love. God bless
